For our neighborhoods to be the best they can be, it takes many individuals working together to identify issues or opportunities and develop plans to address them. It also takes many leaders to help usher the work along. This training is designed to provide the unique skills and knowledge necessary to work with and lead volunteers.
The Neighborhood Leadership Training uses NeighborWorks® America’s “Building Leaders, Building Communities” curriculum—drawing on over 10 years of community building experience from all over the country. The materials have been updated to reflect new information as well as local conditions and are presented by local subject matter experts. Our qualified instructors will ensure that you learn the skills you seek in a fun and engaging environment.
Courses have been grouped so that attendees can sharpen entire skill sets. The foundation building sessions are perfect for new leaders who want to learn the skills necessary to build strong volunteer teams. The group dynamic sessions focus on communication and the skills needed to guide the work of volunteers. The change making sessions are for more advanced leaders, and will provide the skills necessary to design and implement issue campaigns.
The training will be held on November 11th. You may choose to attend all of the courses in a session, or mix-and-match the courses to best suit your needs. Click here for course descriptions
