During the month of December, NeighborWorks® Pocatello is taking part in the statewide Avenues for Hope Housing Challenge, which is sponsored by the Home Partnership Foundation. We are asking that you to please consider making a contribution to NeighborWorks® Pocatello, which has the potential of being highly leveraged. There are over $200,000 in matching grant funds available from this challenge.
In order for your contribution to be leveraged with the matching grant funds, it must be made between December 12 and December 31, 2017.
Contributions can be completed in one of three easy ways:
- Stop by our office for a free lunch on Tuesday, December 12 between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. where the NeighborWorks staff will be on hand to assist you with making your contribution on-line.
- Visit our website at nwpocatello.org/donate beginning December 12 and follow the instructions.
- Stop by the NeighborWorks® Pocatello office at 206 North Arthur or call 232-9468 anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and we will walk you through the payment process.
There is an Early Bird prize of $500 for the first six organizations to receive 20 unique gifts of $25 or more. We have a great chance of receiving this prize if you make your gift early on December 12th. Additionally, the organizations who have the highest number of donors making gifts of $25 or more by midnight December 31 receive significant matching awards. Last year, we took second place in the state and were the recipient of several bonus grants, which netted $34,000 to the organization! This year is going to be a challenge as 48 housing non-profits in Idaho are taking part, but we know we are capable of finishing in the top three again!
NeighborWorks® Pocatello helps the community in so many ways. Not only do we assist first-time home buyers, we help existing home owners stay in their homes by offering services such as home improvement loans for residents who need new furnaces, roofs, windows, electrical upgrades and more and offer mortgage default counseling for those who are at risk of losing their homes to foreclosure. We also own and operate the “Spirit of Hope House”, which is a 10 bed home for men transitioning from the correctional system.
Look for the donation link on our website to go live on December 12th. Remember, your contribution is tax deductible. Thank you in advance for helping local families who are in need of our home ownership programs.
